As a bride, I worried that my bridal shower may not go as I would want it to. This is because, it is meant to be a surprise and your friends may not know your thoughts. I wasn’t even sure if I would get a bridal shower. Hence, the plan to have a party with my bridesmaids the night before the wedding. However, I dropped hints to some of my bridesmaids. Two things-an intimate bridal shower with friends that truly care but more importantly, a shower of gifts.
I never spoke of a theme. When my maid of honor tried to get clues, I was completely exhausted from making quite a number of wedding decisions. Guess they had no choice but to come up with a theme. They chose to focus on what it was that they could all agree I wear the most- prints. The selection of Ankara also validates the reason behind my new project, STailors.
Away from the dress code, it was a simple hangout at a spot in Anthony. We had some food, played games and basically ‘gisted’ about me and the wedding. I was so excited to see asun on the menu but even more excited to hang out with friends whom I have not had the opportunity to hang out with in months. Life happens, we all get busy but being able to find a moment like this is simply priceless. And they also brought me gift- thoughtful gifts that I will forever cherish. Thank you ladies for pulling this off!
Just out of curiosity, what is the best way to let your friends know the kind of bridal shower you will like?
